Sweet, refreshing, and irresistibly pretty, the Zanberry latte layers Maison Zegzaw ceremonial matcha over a fresh strawberry base and creamy milk for a perfect balance of fruity sweetness and earthy matcha depth.

Ingredients

 

  • 4 g Maison Zegzaw ceremonial matcha
  • 60 ml warm water (60~70°C)
  • 150 ml cold milk (regular or plant-based)
  • 100 g fresh strawberries (about 4–5 berries)
  • 1–2 tablespoons of sugar, honey, or agave (adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes


Directions

 

  1. Make the strawberry base
    • Blend strawberries with sweetener until smooth and syrupy.
    • Pour the strawberry puree into the bottom of a tall glass.
  2. Add milk & ice
    • Fill the glass halfway with ice cubes.
    • Slowly pour in the cold milk over the strawberry base to create a layered effect.
  3. Prepare the matcha
    • Sift 4 g of matcha into a bowl.
    • Add 60 ml warm water and whisk vigorously with a chasen (or electric frother) until frothy and smooth.
  4. Assemble
    • Gently pour the whisked matcha over the milk layer.
    • Optionally, swirl lightly with a straw for a marble effect.
  5. Finishing touch
    • Garnish with a strawberry slice on the rim or a light dusting of matcha powder.

 Pro Tip: For extra indulgence, add a spoonful of strawberry jam at the bottom instead of fresh puree, or swap the milk for coconut milk for a tropical twist
